Will Black Ops IIII Destroy Battlefield V And Red Dead Redemption 2
I do not know if you are aware of this, but October 2018 is one of the biggest months for video game releases in history! I honestly cannot think of another month that has had so many huge releases coming out all around the same time.
Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII, Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are clearly the big hitters. However, Assassins Creed Odyssey, WWE 2K19, Super Mario Party, Soul Caliber 6, Mega Man 11, Lego DC Super Villains and Just Dance 2019 are also out around the same time. Not to mention there are other releases as well! It is crazy that all these game companies are willing to take this gamble of releasing in such a stacked month.
An industry analyst group called Michael J. Olson and Yung Kim has come out with some pretty interesting predictions. They are predicting that while all three games will sell millions and millions of copies. Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII will sell considerably more copies than both Battlefield V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
They put Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII at 21.5 million copies sold by the end of the year. Battlefield V at 16 million copies and Red Dead Redemption 2 at 15.5 million copies. So while they are predicting Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII will sell far more copies, it is not like the folks at DICE and Rockstar are going to be hurting for money.
The big question here is how are all those other releases going to be able to compete with these three games? I have a feeling that some of those titles are going to be on mega clearance as the year comes to an end. I also think that it is not just the fact that Call Of Duty Black Ops IIII is introducing a Battle Royale mode that is making it so popular and anticipated. Call Of Duty WWII is a fantastic game so people are feeling really good about everything Call Of Duty right now.
